Being close to nature is a passion and reducing chemicals is a way of life, for us. Through this evolved the journey of making sustainable home products like handmade soaps, candles and body wash.  Promoting clean and natural bath products, that are free from harmful chemicals, and extremely good for the skin and environment became a reality.

As a Ministry of Small Medium Enterprises certified soap maker, we have conducted and participated in many tutorials, exhibitions, and professional courses.  

About our products

We are thoughtful and sensitive to serve our customers. Mindfully sourced materials from the best manufacturers are used and we never compromise on quality. Our soaps are genuinely loaded with natural plant butters, edible oils, herbs and earthy clays, which have natural properties to solve many skin issues. They are aesthetically pleasing and packaged well. It is an amazing alternative to be eco-friendly and remove harsh chemical laden commercial products from our bathrooms. The waxes on our candles are also soy / bees wax and our fabrics are clean cottons and jute

Name of our Start-up

The name of our venture is ‘NOOR which in Arabic means ‘luminous’. Thus ‘Noor Handcraft Studio” is the name of our artisanal small-scale studio. It hopes to bring light into the lives of those who seem hopeless and illumine their lives a little. We at Noor Handcraft Studio provide work engagement for people with different abilities.

Inclusion is a badge we profess, leading by example is our motto.

Story behind our small business

As a professional who works with people with different abilities who have developmental delays like Autism and Intellectual disabilities, we have been moved to find ways to help the sustenance and engagement of such individuals. 

Giving hope to the parents and caregivers of special needs individuals, through enabled home start-ups like candle and soap making ensures the engagement of their children in profitable work within the secure confines of their home.

We also aspire to utilise part of the sales to train and help the challenged individuals to become self-reliant.
